Look what the cat dragged in...

Yes Stagecoach are back in London, amid the speculation of what vehicles will now be ordered on thing for sure is, the horrid Scania Omnicity's will no longer be on the agenda. However the first major blunder is to apply the fairly nice looking Stagecoach logo to a rancid vehicle, another point is the strapline, which literally blends in to the red of the Bus. Here 15713 LX10AUH is seen pulling away from Essex Road.

What makes you so sure there will be no more Omnicities? Stagecoach have bought Scania products in the past.

Yes, they have bought scania products in the past such as the E400s but just never with an Omnicity body, not a body of preference for them it appears.

I agree, the Omnicity is horrible bus, also Brian Souter is a major share holder of ADL so it only makes sense to push orders to Falkirk instead of Poland.

To Be honest I do not know which individual at Scania designed the omnicity and thought it would be a great bus. Its a rancid bus!

I just wondered, my local routes are the 174 and the 496 operated by stagecoach London.when the routes were operated by east London they were supposed to have new buses ordered for the routes, but east London went up for sale a day after they were supposed to get new buses. As you know a lot about buses i just wondered if you new if the routes would be getting any new buses at all and if they are what ones would be ordered if their not going to be omnicitys.

Sam.

The London Bus Routes Site quotes the Routes as still getting new Double Deckers, they are set to be Alexander Dennis Enviro 400s.

What else do you suggest, not putting the logo on?!

I quite like the Southern Vectis Scania OmniCitys, so I'm interested to know why others don't like the London ones. Are there any particular features you don't like?

To be honest I would given it an all white logo because the logo literally blends in with the vehicle.

The seats on the London Scania Omnicitys are as hard as stone, it is the most uncomfortable ride I've ever experienced on a bus.
